Sorry, but I couldn’t wait for your comments on my first fic so I attempted to write this songfic.  Err… and it’s a Tokiya-Fuyuko one *ducks from stones thrown by violent objectors*.  And if you don’t know who Fuyuko is, then go and read my fic, Tokiya’s First Love.  The song featured here is My Will by Dream and you better appreciate this cos I spent hours searching for the lyrics, translations and MIDI.  Please read and send your comments, regardless of whether they’re good or not, I really won’t mind if there are flames, but I hope not. *sweatdrop*  Aniwae, juz read it and enjoy.

Thee song is sung by an all-girl trio called Dream, but I expressed the lyrics as Tokiya and Fuyuko’s thoughts.  Blue=Tokiya, Red=Fuyuko, Purple=Both of them.  The lyrics and translations are divided into two columns and I’m sure you can tell which is which.

Fuyuko opens her eyes after hours of trying to sleep since Tokiya left, but she can’t as has been thinking of him for the past few hours, hoping that he is safe.  At the same time, Tokiya awakens after dozing off for a short while on the way to meet the rest of the Hokage.  He immediately thinks of Fuyuko, in his heart telling her to forget him and find someone else who can give her happiness and hopes that she is well and that she will be happy.

Unable to move forward                  “ato sukoshi” to yuu kyori
Across “just a little more” distance   ga fumidasenakute
The way I see before me is                itsumo me no mae wa
Always blocked.                                tozasarete-ita no

Fuyuko remembers the time when Tokiya left and she saw his figure disappearing in the distance and knew she could have caught up with him easily as there was not much distance between them.  Yet, when she tried to move, an invisible force stopped her and she knew that she would be going against Tokiya which she did not want to do.  Her obligation towards Tokiya blocked her from going after him many times.

Every time the days I want to        aitai aenai hibi wo
See you but can’t pile up,             kasaneru tabi ni
My strong hearbeat turns             tsuyoi toki mekiwa
Into heartbreak.                           Setsunasa ni naru yo

Fuyuko has spent the past few hours thinking of Tokiya, hoping that he would come back but to no avail and as she waits longingly, sad and lonely, the hours seem to be eternity, and those few hours felt like many days.  Time crawls in agony, and as Fuyuko waits, she is more certain that Tokiya will not come back.  The strong heartbeat of her passion and love for Tokiya slowly dies down as her hear shatters and breaks.

If there is such a thing as “eternity”,    moshimo eien to yuu mono ga aru nara
I want to believe, even if I                     toomawari shite demo shinjite itai
Have to take the long way…               “bukiyou dakara KIZUtsuku koto mo aru” to

Fuyuko thinks about the time when she and Tokiya promised each other that they would leave behind their pasts and stay together in the mountain where they would live forever free from the complications and worries of the outside world.  Although Tokiya had gone, she wanted to believe that he would come back to fulfill his promise, and did not mind taking the long way, which would mean waiting for him, not knowing when he would return.  She knew she had been hurt because she had not been careful and thus did not and was unable to prevent Tokiya from staying.  Still, she won’t stop believing and waiting, no matter how bleak the future may seem.

And that alone is enough                         sore dake de namida ga
To make the tears start to flow now         ima afuredashite kuru yo
I always, always wish                              hakanai omoi zutto
That these fleeting thoughts                     donna toki demo negau yo

Thinking of Tokiya, Fuyuko feels more hurt than ever and as her heart shatters, she can control her feelings no longer, and her tears start flowing out uncontrollably as she sobs silently into the dark night, hoping and wishing that although far way, Tokiya can hear her thoughts.

I’ve known all too well about                       tsuyogaru koto dake shiri-sugite-ita watshi
Pretending to be strong                                dakedo ano toki kara
But since then, my doubts have vanished.     mayoi wa kieta yo

Tokiya remembers how he has always pretended to be strong, void and having no need of feelings and emotions, being a loner, and not accepting friends or their help (and he’s still like that except with Fuyuko ^_^).  He remembers putting on a strong front as well when he first met Fuyuko but she soon melted his heart of ice and all his doubts “mysteriously” vanished, and he grew to trust her, feeling at ease whenever around her.

And so many words I want to hear                    kikasetai kotoba mo takusan aru
I want to see all sides of you,                            egao nakigao mo zenbu mite hoshikute

Tokiya thinks of the wonderful times he could have spent with her and could have showed her lots of things including his true self.  He wanted to hear words of love and understanding, wanted to hear her laughter and cries, seeing all sides of her, seeing her true self, and know her more.  He decided to stop this waiting game and go back to find Fuyuko once he and the Hokage had rescued Yanagi.

Thinking of how he has let Fuyuko down, Tokiya can’t suppress his tears anymore and they trickle down slowly as he thinks of the only woman who could bring him warmth and make him cry in seven long years since his sister died.  He is wishing that Fuyuko could hear his thoughts and feelings now and know how much he is missing her and that he will come back for her.

Unknown to each other, Fuyuko and Tokiya are both thinking about the other party wishing that they were by their side, together no matter what would happen, wishing that their thoughts would reach each other despite the distance between them.

Tokiya and Fuyuko both know that though their thoughts and voice cannot reach through the distance to the ears of their beloved, it is only for now, and no matter what, it would reach the other person someday, definitely, without doubt because of their deep and true love.

Tokiya and Fuyuko, though vast distances apart, look up at the sky, focusing their thoughts as they glance upon the same star, believing that someday, their thoughts would reach each other, believing the seemingly impossible as they focus harder on their thoughts, believing…
