                    So now it's time to let go –

                    Say good-bye to the horrible past, as unforgettable it is.

                    Moving on is my only choice of survival; I can't live forever in a memory of deceit. They say letting go is the hardest, but it is the only hope.

                    I can't let the past continue to haunt me –

                    I can't let you continue to haunt me.

                    Even if I really do love you.

                    She changed.

                    She changed so much.

                    That was all she could think about as she looked around her homeland.  After her two years in France, she changed so much. Joker was also, but everyone changes when they go away.  It's like starting over… a new beginning.

                    A way to forget the past.

                    The past was a dreadful thing, but she was able to deal with it.  Letting go was a wonderful thing to do.  She sighed, holding the worn, tattered book in her hand.

                    'Gone With the Wind.'

                    But holding on to certain things was also good.

                    She looked around, pulling the luggage cart with her, as she stretched out her arm,  her hand still firmly holding the book, to call a taxi.

                    Now it was another new start…

                    Or was a sequel to yesterday's end?

                    Black.

                    That's how he always ordered his coffee.

                    Black.

                    Just like his heart.

                    He shrugged that off.  It had been so long since so much had happen to him, and he was finally having a steady life.  Or so it seemed.

                    He never brought himself to date another person. It wasn't because he was traumatized

over Aki, but, rather,  the memory of what he could had have with Fuuko, was still flourishing in his mind.

                    'I wonder what she's doing in France…' He sipped the coffee, as he looked down the office building, onto the busy streets. It wasn't as if he hadn't tried to find her. He had flown to France, but he didn't know where to start….And so, he gave up. He let go of Fuuko, knowing that at least she would be happy…

                    Happy with some one else.

                    And so he had come back to Tokyo, his heart broken forever. It would take only one incredibly strong woman to mend it back up. Only one person could do it.

                    ‘Fuuko…'

                    He sighed, and reminisced. These two years have been very productive to him, now that he took his head out of romance.

                    He was but the CEO of a large corporation that was absolutely booming… He sighed, his eyes looking down once more, as he watched a taxi disappear into the dust.

                    Although she wanted to drown herself with in the deepness of her blankets, she had to report her job… She was the boss anyways.  She had met a wonderful designer, Kage Houshi, who also was accepted to the internship.

                    She had left a couple months before hand, and decided to open up a business with her help.

                    She looked up at the building and grinned.

                    This was going to be fun after all.

~~~
                    It was boring.
                    Completely, absolutely, boring.
                    That was all he had to say.
                    He sat listening to this Houshi something-or-another talk to him about how investing would help, as he just nodded his head and fumbled with the pen in his hand, as something caught his attention as she talked.
                    "My partner… internship… Kirisawa… Kirisawa…"
                    He took a deep sharp breath.
                    "Kirisawa?"
                    The red haired lady nodded, "Hai, my partner also was in the internship as I was, although she should be in Japan today or tomorrow, her name is Kirisawa. Kirisawa Fuuko."
                    His blood drained, his eyes looked at her.
                    "Fuuko?"
                    She nodded.
                    The pen fell down onto the desk as he simply said, "I'm in with your project."
                    Kagero was not there.
                    She took a deep breath, deciding to go back home so that she could get some rest.  With a pen, she wrote a note and gave it to her friend's secretary, telling her to the note to Kagero.  With that, she left.  Since the right elevator door refused to open as she went to the left.
                    The door closed.
                    The right elevator opened.
                    Tokiya had missed her…
                    Just by a second.
~~~

                    She flopped into her condo, ever so happy that Kagero had took out the time to get it for her, so she had some where to stay.  She flopped into her bed, as her eyes fluttered closed, her mind spinning.

                    Sleep had swallowed the rest of the day, and slowly consumed the night.

~~~
                    She was here.
                    In Japan.
                    She was in Japan.
                    She was here in Japan…
                    Oh Kami, now he could be with her again.
                    He could feel his heart lighten, as his mind slowly stopped spinning with thoughts.
                    He could finally be with her.
                    He beamed.
                    Everything was finally in place.
~~~

                    A day had gone by…

                    Two days had gone by….

                    And Tokiya still had not seen her. He had practically camped out at Kagero's office, hoping that he would, somehow, bump into her.

                    It never happened.

                    And as he sat in Kagero's office, he began to brood about his past. Something he had not done in such a long time.

                    He couldn't believe that he had been so blind—to his love for her, and her own love for him.

                    His parting with Aki had been friendly; the usual 'Let's be friends and keep in touch, okay?' had been used, but it had never followed.

                    She had moved away, and he really didn't want to keep in touch. He lay back on the couch, his hand slung across his head.

                    The grayish-blue eyes- eyes that Fuuko had loved so much- were dark and unseeing, and were only to open as he heard the door open.

                    Since the back of the couch faced the door, he could not see who had come in.

                    But…he knew.

                    He knew it was she.

                    She walked into the room, and had planned to sit down on the chair. Then she saw him.

                    'Oh, Kami-sama,' were the thoughts that they had un-knowingly shared.

                    She was as beautiful as ever—No. Even more beautiful, he thought to himself. How could he have let her get away?

                    "F-Fuu-chan?" he said, his voice wavering. He didn't know whether or not he could call her that anymore.

                    A beautiful smile assured him that he could.

                    "Konnichi'wa, Toki-chan. It's been a long time, hasn't it?"
